Ademco / Honeywell Vista 20P Style Alpha Keypad

 To Arm the System in Away Mode (Leaving the Building):

  1. Enter your 4-digit Code (Any User Code or Master Code)
  2. Press [2]


To Disarm the System when entering the building:

  1. Enter your 4-digit Code (Any User Code or Master Code)
  2. Press [1]


To clear an alarm or trouble condition:

  1.  Repeat the disarm procedure twice consecutively. 


To Bypass A Zone:

  1. Enter your 4-digit Code (Any User Code or Master Code)
  2. Press [6]
  3. Enter the 2-digit Zone number.


Note: Zone numbers must be 2-digits. Precede single digit numbers with a  zero.   The keypad will display “ZONE BYPASSED” when armed. Repeat the  same procedure to bypass multiple zones if the keypad shows “Ready”; If  the keypad does not show ready after entering the first 2-digit zone  number repeat additional 2-digit zone numbers following the first  2-digit zone number.   


To Activate / Deactivate Chime Feature:

  1. Enter your 4-digit Code (Any User Code or Master Code)
  2. Press [9] 


Note: Repeat this procedure to toggle the chime on or off.  When the chime is active the keypad will read “DISARMED CHIME”. 


Changing The Master Code:

  1. Enter your 4-digit Master Code
  2. Press [8] then 02. (User 02 is reserved for System Master.)
  3. Enter in new 4-digit MASTER code TWICE (ex. 1234 8 02 5678 5678)
  4. The keypad will beep once to confirm that code was successfully changed.


Note: Example using 1234 as the Master Code changed to 5678


Changing User Code:

  1.  Enter your 4-digit Master Code
  2. Press [8] then the User Number (03 for example – User Numbers Range from 03 to 33)
  3. Enter in new 4-digit user code once (ex. 1234 8 03 5678)
  4. The keypad will beep once to confirm that code was successfully changed.


Note: Example using 1234 as the Master Code changing the code for User 03 to 5678


Adding User Code:

  1. Enter your 4-digit Master Code
  2. Press [8] then the User Number (03 for example – User Numbers Range from 03 to 33)
  3. Enter in new 4-digit user code once (ex. 1234 8 03 5678)
  4. The keypad will beep once to confirm that code was successfully changed.


Note: Example using 1234 as the Master Code adding the code for User 03 as 5678


Delete User Code:

  1. Enter your 4-digit Master Code
  2. Press [8] then the User Number (03 for example – User Numbers Range from 03 to 33)
  3. Press [#] then [0] (ex. 1234 8 03 #0)
  4. The keypad will beep once to confirm that code was successfully changed.


Note: Example using 1234 as the Master Code deleting the code for User 03


 System Trouble:

The word CHECK on the keypad's display, accompanied by a "beeping" at the keypad, indicates a trouble condition in the system. 

System Troubles:

  • Check XX = (XX is the zone number) zone trouble. If it's a wireless  zone, it could be the battery or tamper. If it's a hardwired zone it may  be a short on the wire
  • Check 70 =    RF wireless jam
  • Check 90 =    Bell trouble    
  • Check 91 =     Keybus fault, may also show as ALARM/FAULT/CHECK 1xx, xx will identify which unit   
  • Check = 94    Telco fault
  • AC LOSS =    No AC power getting to the panel
  • OPEN CIRCUIT or OC =    Keybus wiring fault
  • COMM FAILURE or FC =    Failure to communicate
  • SYSTEM LOW BATT or BATT =    Low control panel battery
  • LO BATT or BATT XX = (XX is the zone number)  zone low battery
